- Group News
As mentioned in our newsletter last week, we will be holding an online DUKRT meeting over Zoom next Monday 14th December at 7pm. Our guest speakers will be Dr Matthew Oldfield and Helen Church, two of the leaders of our local Diabetes Care team. Matt is a diabetes and endocrinology consultant at Kingston Hospital and Helen is the Lead Diabetes Specialist Nurse at Teddington Memorial Hospital. They will speak about “Diabetes in the Time of Covid” followed by some Q and A.
In order to call into the meeting from your home computer or smartphone, please click on this link or the one just below. You will be asked to register (just giving your name and email address) and then straightaway be given another link to access the call. You can register in advance which will give us some idea of numbers or just do it on Monday straight before the call.
Please do call in if you are able to and are interested. If you have any technical questions ahead of the call, please feel free to reply to this email and we will do our best to help.
We are working closely with our neighbours in the Kingston DUK Group and would welcome anyone from there who is able join us next week. Similarly, if any of us would like to call into their next meeting, which happens to be tomorrow, Tuesday 8th December, at 7pm, we are invited to do so. The speaker is Nimalini Ajith from RBK Better Bones on "Exercising at Home" which I think is relevant to everyone. I have copied the details from Anne Lewis-Lloyd's latest email and included them below.

Please see below the link to join our Zoom meeting with Nimalini Ajith on Exercising at Home next Tuesday. The meeting will be from 7pm to 8pm and please observe the same rules as last month. Keep your mic muted during Nimalini's talk
In the Q&A raise your hand if you want to ask a question and David will call your name. Then unmute yourself . It would be useful if you can check how you unmute yourself as it does vary depending on your device.
