We hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year, albeit 2020 style
Thank you to everyone who called in to our meeting on 14th December and especially to Dr Matt Oldfield and Helen Church for taking the time to join us, speaking about "Diabetes in the Time of Covid", giving very topical and helpful presentations.

This month, we plan to hold a joint Zoom meeting with our friends in the Kingston Group at 7pm on Tuesday 19th January, when Dr Gareth Hull, Kingston's GP lead for Diabetes, will speak to us about Covid vaccination. We will send the details soon and also put them on our website.
Two days later, on Thursday 21st January, 5-6pm, Diabetes UK London team are holding a Zoom webinar on "Diabetes, the Immune System and the Heart". Dr Matthew Gage, who runs a research group looking at how diabetes affects immune cell responses and how this can impact the treatment of diabetes and heart disease, will speak and answer questions from the audience afterwards. We still plan to hold our AGM in February, also virtually of course, date to be confirmed.
