NEW HYPOGLYCAEMIA ALERT PATHWAY launching 14th September.

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Diabetes Richmond Service announces the launch of a new Hypoglycaemia Alert Pathway with London Ambulance Service. Anyone calling 999 for hypoglycaemia will be assessed, treated by London Ambulance Service and transferred to hospital where necessary or referred to the Diabetes Specialist Nurse team for treatment and advice to prevent further events. Unstable patients will be assessed by the Specialist Team either in a clinic or in the patient's own home. The Registered GP will be notified of the referral and outcome.
