Update, September 2022

We are planning to hold a "relaunch" in-person meeting this autumn, most likely in November back at St Mary's in Twickenham.  Further information and details to follow nearer the time.

In the mean time, our friends and neighbours in Kingston and Hammersmith both have interesting Zoom meetings coming up over the next few days, which we are most welcome to call into.  Here are the details:

Tuesday 6th September 7pm

Andy Broomhead, Head of Volunteering, Diabetes UK

Meeting ID: 813 5793 2212

Passcode: 929217

The Kingston group is now also holding weekly exercise sessions which we are equally welcome to join.  I have appended a message from their chair Anne Lewis-Lloyd with details of those.

Finally, a quick note on fundraising.  This is not something we have focused on ever so much though we do raise the small amount we need to keep ourselves going as a local group and donate any extra to Diabetes UK "central" who do such a great job funding important research, running their dedicated helpline and generally speaking up for people with diabetes.  We might try to do a little more of this on future.  For example....

In just under four weeks time, on 2nd October, I am planning to run the London Marathon for Diabetes UK.  If anyone would like to make a small donation, both DUK and I would be most grateful.  Here is the link in case you would like to do so: https://tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/paul-gilbert-5955d?
